In You, Klal Yisroel trusted and were not ashamed.
(Tehillim 22:6)
For it is an embarrassment for a strong person to have to rely on someone else to stand by and support him. Contrary to this, the pasuk states, “In You, Klal Yisroel trusted and were not ashamed.” For being that their crying out for help was to You, and their bitachon was in You, the Almighty, they were not embarrassed or ashamed of this. However, if they had placed their trust in anything else, they would have been embarrassed and ashamed.
The fool walks with his head held high, trusting in his own ability’s, when in truth he cannot take one breath without Hashem making the most amazing miracles take place in his body. In truth, is there anything more embarrassing than being that clueless? The wise man, in contrast, walks humbly, but proud in the knowledge that it is his dear Father, who loves him infinitely, who is running the entire universe.
