The care that must be taken in attempting to understand this astounding Chazal cannot be overstated. However, perhaps we can suggest somewhat of an explanation. <\/p>\n

Chazal tell us that we all have a \u201cChelek Eloka Mimael \u2013 A spark of G-d within us.\u201d However, we have been placed in a mundane body with desires that run contrary to G-dliness. The highest level of Bitachon is when we reach the understanding that Hashem, who created the entire universe as a means to bestow upon us the greatest pleasures and happiness, has the will to provide us with the greatest good that can befall us. The Mishna (Avos 2:4) states, \u201cFulfill Hashem\u2019s will as if it is your own so that He will fulfill your will as if it was His own.\u201d By following this dictum we can negate the negative desires of our body, overcoming them with His will, His spark within us which desires to provide us with the greatest pleasure. This actualizes Chazal\u2019s statement, \u201cAll who have Bitachon in Hashem become similar to Him.\u201d<\/p>\n
